BONUS - There will also be a short SPORTIdent (electronic timing) course set up to do before or after the main Score-O event. This will be for anyone and suitable for older children or younger children under supervision. This will be similar to the course we set up at the Scout Island Marsh Magic Festival.


Directions: From Williams Lake, drive 17 km North on Hwy 97 and turn LEFT onto the Bull Mountain XC Ski Area Road and park in the Ski Area lower parking area. Registration will be near the lodge.

Score Orienteering There will be 23 controls (checkpoints) placed in the forest, their locations marked on your map. They range in value from 10 Points (novice/easy) to 50 Points (expert). Walk or run, this event is score Orienteering where you find a few or as many controls as you wish within the time limit of 1 1/2 hours.

Maps will be provided. A compass is recommended, no other special equipment is required. We recommend you bring a water bottle and dress for walking, hiking or running on trails or in the forest. Printed instructions and an instructor will be available to assist you before you start a course.

This event is suitable for families as well as individuals of all ages. Newcomers are welcome and instruction will be available.

*Please note: A current Club Membership is required for this event and will be available at registration. You will NOT be required to pay the entry fee as well. Memberships purchased now are valid for 2025
