Location: 150 Mile Trails starting on Bianic Road

Start time: Staggered starts - anytime up to 1:30pm

This is our first time using a new map of 150 Mlle Trails Network being produced with the assistance of grants from Williams Lake Community Forest supporting outdoor recreational opportunities in the Cariboo, and from Orienteering BC. Three square km have been completed for this event with another 3 sq of mapping in progress.

Directions: From Williams Lake, drive to 150 Mile House and turn LEFT on to Horsefly Road

-Drive 200m up Horsefly Road then turn RIGHT on to Valley Road
-Drive 1.3 km on Valley Road then turn Right on to Huston Road
-Drive 700m on Huston Road and turn LEFT on to Bianic Road

This is a "point to point" timed event where you go to the controls in the specified order. You will have three courses of increasing length and degree of difficulty to choose from. (Novice, Intermediate and Intermediate-long). If you are new to orienteering, you may enter the Novice course, then do the intermediate course if time allows.

You are most welcome to enter with a partner or as a family group. However, If you have been to some events, and would like to test your skills or are a bit competitive, we encourage you to try a course on your own, or 'shadow' a younger orienteer.


Maps will be provided. A compass is recommended, no other special equipment is required. Hiking boots or running shoes and hiking/running attire are suitable. We recommend you bring a water bottle especially if the weather is warm. Printed instructions and an instructor will be available to assist you before you start a course. Walk or run and you may orienteer as an individual, with a partner, or go as a group or family.

Fees: Adult $10, Under 20 yrs $5, Family maximum $20
Please note: A Club Membership* and a signed waiver is required for all events and will be available at registration.
Entry to your first event is FREE when you purchase a 2024 Membership (You do not have to pay for a membership AND an entry fee)

*Included is Membership in Orienteering British Columbia and in Orienteering Canada which we require as they provide sport insurance coverage for participants, volunteers and landowners.
