With all the beautiful fall weather in the Cariboo it seemed we should offer another orienteering opportunity for October :-)

Dairy Fields in Williams Lake

Register 12:00-12:25 pm

Mass start at 12:30


Directions: Head North/northwest on Western Avenue in Williams Lake, past Columneetza Secondary Campus and TRU.

At the 4-way stop, turn RIGHT on to Midnight Drive. Park on the curb

near the end of Midnight Drive (parking is not permitted in the

turnaround). Watch for the orange and white flags.

Everyone

will start at the same time for this event. ....but don't worry if

you are a bit late, we'll still let you start :-) There

will be 20 controls (checkpoints) of varying levels of difficulty.

Points are awarded for every control you visit. This event is score

Orienteering where you can visit as few or as many checkpoints as you

wish within the time limit of 2 hours (it's up to you).



Maps will be provided. A compass is recommended, no other special

equipment is required. Hiking boots or running shoes and hiking/running

attire are suitable. We recommend you bring a water bottle especially if

the weather is warm. Printed instructions and an instructor will be

available to assist you before you start a course. Walk or run. You may

orienteer as an individual, with a partner, or go as a group or family.



Fees: Adult $5, Under 20 yrs $3, Family maximum $12

Please note: A Club Membership* and a signed waiver is required for all events and will be available at registration.

Entry to this first event is FREE when you purchase a new Membership (valid for 2022-2023)
